The company is a leader in the media/advertising/marketing space and its portfolio comprises the flagship online property a weekly Media/Advertising magazine Impact, a monthly marketing magazine pitch and events covering every vertical within the domain.

Job Description

Seeks an experienced advertising Sales person to develop and execute a sales function (in conjunction with other teams across the country), with an emphasis on maximizing advertising revenues and other product line extensions. This role must deliver results in a dynamic and competitive sector across Print, Event and Web environments. Discovery, researching, and data mining skills are paramount to gain strategic insight. It is imperative for the person to be self-starter, and look at creating innovative solutions for clients – as and when possible
 

Responsibilities and Accountability:

  • Develop and deliver clear and measurable advertising sales for multiple products.

  • Develop and deliver forecast models and regularly report all aspects of generated sales across the platform. 

  • Achieve revenue goals through print, online and event solutions. 

  • Maximize revenue potential from existing clients as well as developing new advertising clients. 

  • To manage sales progress and goals expectations across the regions.

Core Competencies and Experience: 

  • Proven experience of media sales including selling print, event and online properties. 

  • Proven experience to target clients that align with the product to maximize and deliver targeted revenues. 

  • Proven experience of generating new business streams and long-term mutually beneficial relationships within an advertising environment. 

  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to manage business relationships is paramount.

  • Effective communication skills including excellent presentation skills, and excellent proposal construction skills in English. 

  • To liaise with editorial, distribution and design teams to ensure all delivery deadlines are met. 

Requirements

  • Self-motivator and must work well independently and with team members. 

  • Excellent English skills – particularly oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills to constantly promote the company's services to prospects. 

  • Must be able to multi-task different projects simultaneously, plan strategically and execute ad sales programs from start to completion.
